Christ Church Cathedral and Sheppard’s Irish Auction House have formed an innovative partnership in order to raise the €1 million required to carry out vital restoration works on the cathedral to preserve it for generations to come.  An Inaugural Biennial Auction forms the centrepiece of a programme that we hope appeals to a wide audience, while raising much needed funds for the cathedral. A committee reflecting the broad spectrum of interests was established by the Dean to initiate this fundraising auction, supported by a cultural and social programme

The Inaugural Biennial Auction takes place on Friday 16 December. We have secured the full commitment of Sheppard’s Irish Auction House, Durrow, Co Laois, a high-profile auction house with an international reputation. This ‘No Reserve Auction’ will take place at Sheppard’s Irish Auction House, Durrow, Co. Laois. It will be broadcast live online.

So here’s the challenge: do you think you can support this auction for Christ Church and aid us in the conservation of its material fabric and its many priceless treasures?

There are a variety of ways in which you can sponsor or participate in the programme of events. Details of how to be a part of this exciting gala programme, either as a sponsor or as a patron, are to be found below.
